We are looking for positive, warm, and friendly massage therapists to join our team at Refuge Spa in Carmel. We are specifically seeking candidates with late afternoon and evening availability.

QUALIFICATIONS
Massage Therapist
Insurance, county permit, and CAMTC certification required
Experience with Swedish and Deep Tissue massage techniques
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Flexible schedule including late afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday availability

FACILITY
Refuge is an award-winning outdoor relaxation spa featuring a co-ed cedar sauna with a Himalayan salt wall, eucalyptus steam rooms, Nordic cool pools, hot pools with waterfalls, and 2 acres of serene and silent relaxation spaces with zero-gravity chairs and fire pits. Refuge also offers Swedish and Deep Tissue Massages.

Refuge & CVAC Concierge and Attendant

We are hiring Refuge Concierges and Refuge Attendants.

REFUGE:

American's 1st Co-Ed Hydrothermal Relaxation Spa situated on two acres adjacent to Carmel Valley Athletic Club. It uses hydrothermal cycles which is fairly common in Europe and Japan, but this facility is one of the finest in the world. Besides offering Admission to the pools and relaxation areas, Refuge also offers Swedish and deep tissue massages.

CVAC:

Carmel Valley Athletic Club lies just beyond the fog line, where sunshine and breathtaking scenery collide. Once a local hot spot, known for its tennis prowess at the height of the tennis boom, it has since become a club focused on all aspects of health and fitness. Though its nationally recognized tennis program is still a key element to its wellness regimen, the club has expanded with a two-story fitness building, Mind & Body Center featuring more than 75 group exercise classes, Fitness Studio with Reformer Pilates, a heated lap pool, adult and family hot tubs, Kids Club, monthly wellness/social programs, and much more.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Positive, warm, and outgoing personality.
  • Professional demeanor, ethical behavior, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have previous customer service experience within a hospitality setting.
  • Able to work with computer systems.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to include weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all club's procedures and standards.
  • Ability to follow through on assigned tasks and demonstrate initiative.
  • Ability to utilize PC station with MS office background.
  • Excellent communication skills in English orally, in writing and over the telephone.
  • Excellent grooming at all times.
  • Ability to work standing for eight hours.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions - in and outside.
  • Ability to carry and lift 50+ safely.
