"Communication is Overrated"

It’s been described as the age of information, supported by a belief system that if we could just “start a dialog,” all our problems would be solved.  But is that true? What happens when hurtful truths and painful realities come to the surface? What if efforts at reconciliation cause more even more damage? • The more we strive to depict reality, the more subjective things become. The more we’re bombarded with information, the more it blurs into noise, or a mosaic with a different meaning. • This exhibit plays with the power and limitation of communication, deconstructs the act of the message. In explores the means we use to convey the message about who we really are, and the way the basic truth of our lives is something we can never really explain.
