Exhibiting Criteria
Here are some general guidelines for submitting art for exhibit. Once we determined if exhibition will be at the gallery, a special show or on-line we can determine what, where and how.
All 2-D art will need to be mounted, matted (gallery white), framed (do not use frosted glass or metal frames). If from the Chicagoland area we can direct you to sources that offer discount to all our artists and clients. Please include necessary hanging hardware. Depending on our arrangement, you may or may not be helping with installation.
3-D or video will require specific installation requirements which need addressing before planning exhibit installation and shipping.
Shipping and insurance from artist to gallery is the artists responsibility. Insurance at the gallery and shipping back to artist is gallery’s responsibility. Typically special exhibits share expenses, but we’ll address prior to exhibition(s) if not specified in your contract.
All artwork shall remain as part of consignment until art is sold or agreement ends.
Artwork selected must remain in gallery and on line for entire contract period. Artist and gallery will enter into contractual agreement specifying length of contract, responsibilities, pricing, commissions, promotion, accounting, payment period, etc. Our goal is to enter into a equitable and honest relationship which fosters understanding, growth and financial independence for both parties. |
